James Y. Lancaster

Founder/Managing Director of Innovate CXO Services, dedicated to provide high value executive services in the Brazos Valley and surrounding areas.  Other positions include CFO of Shape Memory Therapeutics, a medical device R&D company and CEO of Ecolyse, Inc., an industrial biocontrol company. Previously he was the founding General Manager of the Research Valley Innovation Center, a science and technology incubator teamed with The Texas A&M University System.


With an extensive background advising entrepreneurs and early-stage companies, Lancaster has co-founded multiple technology companies in addition to the Research Valley Funds. Lancaster is an ongoing volunteer and contributor of the Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship related guest lectures at Texas A&M University. Lancaster currently serves on the boards of Ecolyse and the non-profit BrightMinds Foundation. Prior experience includes bootstrapped, angel investor and venture capital-backed businesses, as well as nine years at Deloitte Consulting with Fortune 500 clients across North America.  Clients for both consulting and his startup ventures have included Alcatel, Allied Signal, Bridgestone/Firestone, Dow Chemical, Ericsson, Foxmeyer, GE, Haliburton, Herman Miller, Honeywell, Landmark, Shell, Sonoco, Trilogy and Trinity Industries.  Lancaster holds a BBA from Texas A&M University and a MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.  Contact James

Lenae Scroggins

Founder/Principal of Innovate CXO and with a passion for innovation and creativity, Lenae Scroggins brings more than 30 years of leadership and program development experience. In fact, hatching ideas and bringing them to fruition is nothing new for Lenae. For nearly 10 years, Lenae served as assistant director at Texas A&M University’s Center for Entrepreneurship and New Ventures. In this role, she launched and managed numerous programs, including the highly successful Aggie 100 Program to honor Aggie entrepreneurs, the MBA Tech Transfer Challenge, and the Ideas Challenge. In addition, Lenae brings extensive insight in the areas of finance and operations management (including budgeting, staffing, and logistics), event planning, and fundraising. Her recent client service roles have been as the business manager for a Bryan/College Station biotechnology start-up, Ecolyse and medical device start-up Shape Memory Therapeutics.


Beyond her day-to-day professional experience, Lenae also brings deep insight into working with boards of directors. For seven years, she served on the board of the Research Valley Technology Alliance, including one year as president. She has also volunteered countless hours to serving on the boards of Bryan/College Station Lemonade Day as a founding member and Coach Gary Blair Charities.  Contact Lenae

Bruce Lancaster

An Executive Consultant for Innovate CXO, Bruce is a seasoned senior executive with a solid track record of success in turning companies from trouble to profit. Bruce has more than 20 years of experience as an executive officer of public companies with numerous board seats under his belt. He has broad experience in all aspects of accounting and financial management, as well as general corporate management. Bruce’s achievements include 100% success in restructuring ailing businesses. He is a proven change architect with a long list of successful M&A and growth strategies delivering rapid results in challenging and competitive markets while strengthening employee loyalty.


Bruce returned to the Brazos Valley 10 years ago to join then NASDAQ listed OI Corporation, a high tech manufacturer of scientific instruments, as CEO, CFO and Director.  After a turnaround that enhanced the company's financial position, he led a successful strategic evaluation process resulting in OI’s purchase at a significant premium for shareholders.  Bruce subsequently joined Dynacon, Inc., a manufacturer of deep-sea launch and recovery systems, as CFO and again played a key role in transitioning the company to new ownership.  He continues to work in a financial capacity with the new owner, Forum Energy Technologies.  Bruce is a proud Aggie, holding both BBA and MBA degrees from Texas A&M University and is also a CPA.  Contact Bruce

Johnny Myers

An Executive Consultant for Innovate CXO and a partner in Third River Holding Company, Johnny brings experience in organizational and entrepreneurial development, project and change management and resource and fund development strategies.  Myers has served in many leadership roles across different types of business ventures and sectors.


Myers is the founding President and CEO of the Bill Maness Outreach Center in Atlanta, Georgia and has worked with leaders all over the country developing organizations that impact community.  Some of these include Millican Reserve, Millican Reserve Land Conservancy, Rock Barn Conservation Partners, The Gallop Foundation, By The Stream Media, LeadStone Land & Ranch, Carter Enterprises, adzy USA, Kappa Sigma Mu Gamma Chapter, and the BrightMinds Foundation. David Barham

An Executive Consultant for Innovate CXO, David is founder of Barham and Associates LLC and a partner in Third River Holding Company, both investment and holding businesses.


David is a proven leader with the ability to inspire others to achieve greatness. A gifted motivational speaker, David’s insight into people and business allow him to see things in others that they cannot see themselves. As a master facilitator, David has the ability to engage, encourage, and motivate an audience. David brings a full spectrum of team building systems. He has motivational tactics that are well orchestrated, proven, and designed to help people reach their dreams and goals whether it is in business, athletics, or life.


David’s coaching career spanned 25 years in Tennessee, Louisiana, and Texas where he currently resides.  His experience as a coach resulted in being named ‘Coach of the Year’ 16 times in a 25-year career.


Originally from Tennessee, David played both football and basketball at the University of Alabama, later transferring to play basketball at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee graduating with a B.S. Degree in Kinesiology.  Contact David
